Confidence and sexuality can be a deep rooted topic especially when you are living with a chronic condition. Any shame and guilt we carry in our disability can easily carry through to other areas of our life.
Inside this episode, I’m hanging out with Erika Arff, Sex & Confidence Coach and fellow type one diabetic. Inside this episode, she teaches us how to change the habit of compartmentalize our diabetes and bring it into our self love journey.
Erika Eileen works through the lens of HAES (health at every size) and sex positivity. Erika is a Type 1 Diabetic & has been living with this disability for 21 years. Erika believes that every person is deserving of confidence inside and outside of the bedroom.
Erika has been featured in Cosmopolitan and was nominated as a Top 10 Sex & Love Experts on TikTok. Erika encourages her audience to define confidence for themselves and what it means to be a rad, bad bitch. When she’s not shaking her ass on TikTok, you can find her skateboarding on the boardwalk, listening to Latin music, with an overpriced iced coffee in hand.
Here’s whats inside today’s episode:
– How Erika went from burnt out with her T1D, living in Australia to loving her body, disability and all.
– The importance of expressing your needs inside of your diabetes management and all other areas of life.
