Finally getting the courage to test your blood sugar hours after dinner knowing you carb counted correctly. But when you look at the number, you feel your heart sink.. The meter shows a high number on the screen and you feel the frustration, "but I did everything right!"

Getting to the middle of your workout and feeling the adrenaline running through your veins.. oh wait, no.. that's a low blood sugar. Your workout is the "you time" you've been looking forward to all day, but instead it's been interrupted by diabetes.

Having a kick ass day of eating hearty foods and fueling your body, only to be left feeling bloated and fatigued because of the excess sugar you had to consume for lows.

You want to live an adventurous and spontaneous life, but diabetes always seems to be in the drivers seat.

You don't need diabetes to go away, you just need it to be easier.

Since you've been diagnosed, you've been putting in the work. You count your carbs and take your insulin, but you're still stuck on the rollercoaster of highs and lows and feel like somehow you're doing it all wrong.

You toss between knowing there has to be more to type one diabetes than we're told and being afraid of life with T1D always feeling this exhausting.

I'm here to let you know that it's not you. It's the tools you were given to manage. Diabetes is a disease that's affected by your whole body. So why is the focus only on the carbs on our plate? Why aren't we focusing on the bigger picture?

Keeping it 100 is here to bridge that gap, and I'm here to support you through the entire process.

I know that it's not just about lowering your A1C. Its' about feeling like your old self again.

You want to go to sleep without worrying about waking up to Dexcom alarms and feeling like there's not enough snooze alarms to save you the next morning.

You want to walk out of the gym knowing you worked up a sweat from a kickass workout instead of the "low sweats" that force you to leave.

You want to consume your dinner, instead of feeling consumed by numbers.

You want to feel like YOU'RE the one in control of your life instead of being controlled by what your blood sugar is.

The way I see it, there are two approaches to T1D management. 


Approach #1: The Traditional Approach. This is the one we usually start our journey with. For me, this is why my relationship with T1D started out on the wrong foot. I did the low carb diets. I stopped exercising because I feared lows. I stopped going out with friends because of the variability. I felt restricted, so I resented my diagnosis, my body, and my care team.

Four years later I realized there was a second approach..

Approach #2: The Abundance Approach. Where I started to finally feel aligned with my diagnosis and fueled to do more. I started to understand that I could integrate more into my life - more food, more activities, more traveling - while keeping my energy high, my endocrinologists happy and my A1C at its all time lowest.

Hi, I'm Lissie Poyner

Type one diabetes changed my life, and then it made it better.

Type one diabetes was never something I even thought of until I was diagnosed at the age of 19. I went from a normal college student to a young adult advocating for my own health.

In the beginning, I listened to my doctors and simply focused on the carb counting and insulin doses - but I still didn't FEEL good. I no longer had the energy I used to. I couldn't focus on my exams. My performance at work suffered because my mind and body always felt drained.

It was when I finally started to look at my body at a holistic level that I realized how much control I truly had. When I felt aligned in my relationships, my career, and everything in between - my health started to fall into line.

In 2019 I decided to shift my path from engineer to certified health coach so I could help other type one diabetics take control of their minds, bodies and blood sugars and live out a life of freedom.

Lissie is a Certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach working with type one diabetics around the world to help improve their diabetes management through a holistic lifestyle. After lowering her A1C, bringing her ulcerative colitis into remission and overall living a happier and healthier life, she wants to bring these strategies to others!

Jessica is a registered dietitian and certified diabetes educator with a master of science degree in clinical nutrition from The Florida State University. Jessica has 9 years experience working in the field of clinical nutrition & diabetes. Jessica works with people with diabetes, thyroid disease, PCOS, kidney disease, food allergies and heart disease. Jessica has a passion for making healthy, easy recipes for her clients, helping with meal planning and empowering her clients to become educated on their disease and take control of it!

To keep the program intimate, I max the group to 15 participants at a time. This allows me to give you individual attention and serve you to my fullest capacity.
